Philip Snow has just  published a new novel, "The Dutch Doll", based on the legend of the doll that I'm sure you're familiar with.  The story is based on real Finedon places (like the old Girl's School, the Church, Old Hall, Volta Tower, Bell Inn) and some historical figures (Mary Ozier, the Rev Paul).

 

The story also uses events like the theft of the doll from the church and the 'haunting' of the girl's school in the 1820's as the basis of this supernatural tale.
